☀️ Happy Monday, UC neighbors!
It’s a quieter start to the week, but the weekend is stacked. Between an AAPI food and music festival in Union, a street fair in Westfield and a Celtic festival in Clark, there’s plenty to get out for, plus a local vendor market and a few solid options if you’re planning a night out. We’ve also got a couple of newer restaurants worth checking out, including one in Summit that’s already making some noise.
New in Westfield
Dr. Falafel
138 E. Broad St., Westfield
Opened March 2026, Dr. Falafel is a new Mediterranean spot that took over the former Chutzpah Kitchen. The menu features falafel, shawarma, gyros, hummus, pita, wraps, and build-your-own rice and salad bowls.

Here’s another restaurant that’s quite recently opened in Summit.
Aubrey’s Corner
527 Morris Ave., Summit
Led by Executive Chef Michael Feinberg, this French and New American spot has a menu that leans into elevated comfort food—think smash burgers, a house Reuben, prime French dip, braised short rib, and even a cauliflower steak for something lighter.
The cocktail list is just as thoughtful, with options like Far From the Tree, Vanity Hour, and Stacy’s Mom adding a fun, modern touch.
👉 A good pick if you’re looking for a more polished night out without leaving Union County.
